Full Moon in Scorpio: the necessity of letting go.

I've put a picture from our garden taken last Spring in Taurus season. I love the beauty and the growth, both of which are Taurus, grown out of the fertile earth. But to have new growth each Spring we also need death and decay, otherwise there would be no space.

The full Moon in Scorpio, the opposite sign, reminds us of this. I remember in 2007, before my year of transformation in 2008, repeatedly pulling the death card in the Goddess tarot pack, although this particular deck gave it a less scary title of transformation. The words that came with the card were that something needed to die in order for something new to be born.

And so it is, we cannot hold onto everything. In order to grow, we need to let go.

A meditation or contemplation for this full Moon might be on releasing that which has served its purpose and had it's time, so that the new has space to flourish and grow.
